According to Wikipedia, “Dimbulah” is from the local indigenous Australian word for “long waterhole”, referring to the Walsh River that runs nearby the town in North Queensland. To Miss Glitzy, Dimbulah is the new Hello… in the Australian way. It is hello to Australian coffee, with beans from a plantation at Queensland and of which the product is surprisingly fragrant and addictive. Who knows that Australia actually makes good coffee – besides having loads of great mining companies and is the proud inventor of the boomerang?
According to its official website, the raw Arabica bean are shipped straight from Australia to Singapore and “roasted to perfection”. Miss Glitzy had the skinny cappucino with sugar and the coffee was not too bitter and tasted delightful! The coffee costed $4.50 and tasted better than Coffee Bean or Starbucks.
The cafe sells sandwiches, soup and desserts too. The store provides free sampling of their home-made soup and Miss Glitzy absolutely loved the Wild Mushrooms soup that she sampled. Apparently, the soup are prepared in a healthy way using fresh ingredients, not premix. Ingredients are boiled and cooked with less salt and fats but still yummy! No fork and spoon needed to consume the soup because it is served in the Dimbulah cup!
Dimbulah has 5 stores in Singapore at Robertson Quay (The Quayside), Jurong Bird Park, Caltex House First Floor, Temasek Tower Basement and 79 Anson Road Lobby.
