The JPG for Target collection, which will launch on 7th March, is another much-awaited collaboration for many shoppers.

I am a bit disappointed after seeing the lookbook. No doubt, the styling was well done and the mix-and-match was impeccable. But the individual pieces were pretty ordinary and resembled clothes we have seen at Guess or Tommy Hilfiger. The more dramatic and loud style shown in the RTW collection for Spring/Summer 2010 was nowhere to be found.

Here are some of the looks that I like:

The message from the collection is that there is something for every girl – be it preppy, sweet, rock or punk.

I am not a fan of the tattoo-prints.

Like the rest of the designer collaborations, pricing remains affordable. Dresses are priced between US$34.99 to US$59.99.

While the bustier+shrug piece is pretty neat and some of the dresses are quirky, this collection still falls short of the expectations I had towards JPG, especially after seeing so many of his works on the runway. Nonetheless, the lookbook can provide some mix-and-match inspirations for our daily wardrobe.
