I was introduced to the brand Triwa a while ago and after checking out the website and viewing pictures of their watches, my interest was piqued.
1. Triwa is a Swedish watch brand. I like Swedish brands – think Ikea, Absolut Vodka, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M!!).
2. I am a regular watch-wearer. This is the reason why I do not wear bangles because I prefer to wear a watch on my wrist. I love classic analog designs and always wanted my classic analog watches to be in different colours to match my outfits.
Triwa is branded to be both a functional and accurate timepiece, as well as an accessory. The current collection boasts a variety of colors and patterns, all in classic analog or chrono designs.
I have been stuck in this “nude” phase, so I opted for a Naked Brasco (S$285), which is a simple quartz watch with a gold watch face surrounded by tiny Swarovski crystals. The strap is an interesting light beige coloured acetate material, which is smooth and light yet surprisingly sturdy and durable.
The diameter of the watch face is about 4cm, which is a good size for my wrist.
Apparently, Triwa releases two limited collection editions per year. Each collection will be available for 4-6 months before the next collection takes over. For the current collection, prices range from S$230 to S$285. The watches are available in Singapore at Blackjack, Inhabit (Palais Renaissance and Mandarin Gallery), Style:Nordic, Zouk and Epitome.
As cliche as it sounds (and this is not even an advertisement or sorts), I am currently loving my Triwa watch. If you are an analog fan like me, I think you should take a look at the video below and find your colour!
