I was in Hong Kong for a week, but my schedule was so packed that I didn’t even have a chance to check out the Lanvin for H&M frenzy. By the time I had time for shopping, there was nary a thing from Lanvin in the H&M store at Canton Road.

I did, however, had some free time one evening and managed to checked out Sai Kung Town, known as the “Leisure Garden” of Hong Kong and located at the district of New Territories.

Sai Kung was evolved from a fishing village and despite the establishment of restaurants and pubs, the area still retained its laid-back and idyllic charm.

Residing by the river, Sai Kung is a seafood paradise and a must-go place for a sumptuous seafood feast!

Live seafood outside the restaurants.

Aha, are you going to be my dinner?

Really huge life-size garoupas that is probably going to last us for months.

After dinner I had a leisurely stroll around the pier and had numerous breath of clean, unpolluted air. There are also stretches of beauty beaches at Sai Kung area, which I had to give it a miss as it was rather late at night.

The pace of Hong Kong is exuberant and for that reason, Sai Kung is a quick refuge for those who wanna escape from the city’s pulse. It is only a 30-min cab ride from town. And apparently, it is a popular place for TVB productions so you might be able to see some familiar Hong Kong artistes when you are there!
