Last weekend, I attended Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2011 Party at Reflections @ Keppel Bay. A showflat was transformed to a party venue complete with a runway for the models to sashay in Gucci’s latest collection.

I gathered that Gucci is going bright and opulent this season. While there were also loads of camel and beige in the collection, they were largely accentuated with texture and flow.

I am most enamored with the colour block trend. It’s like a Mathematics problem – looks so easy for some people yet difficult for others. How do you match two bright colours together without looking crazy? And how do you carry off bold colours in shiny fabric?
