There was no surprise at the Erdem show last evening. The showcase was quietly stunning, mysterious and elegant. While I have gone through every single runway outfit on Style.com prior to the show, I still felt somewhat awed by the showmanship once the strum of violin began and the models started sashaying in flowy dresses with abstract water-colour prints.

While there were some variations with lace, velvet and embellishments, the Erdem show was, simply put, a presentation of many functional ready-to-wear pieces for the ladies. There was no theatrics, nothing crazy but style that could last season after season.

The above video is the final walkthrough of the show, with the designer Erdem Moralioglu on stage towards the end. This was the best I could capture from the show, I probably need to perch myself at the photographers’ pit next year! :)
