I am sort of glad that May is over because June is my favourite month of the year! It’s summer, and it used to be the school holidays. Now at work, everyone’s planning their vacation so the pace would slow down a wee bit. Of course, looking back at May, there was a slew of fashion events in Singapore, especially the Audi Fashion Festival. These are the type of things that would make my life as a “corporate slave by day + fashion lifestyle blogger by night” exciting, right?

[24 May 2011] Way too cool! You can make music with Jeans! [link]

I have watched the video a few times and I’m still amazed by the whole ingenuity of the concept and production!

[30 May 2011] Wow! J.Crew ties up with Prabal Gurung and the collection is now available online! http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/prabal-gurung.jsp#/collection [link]

I had a glimpse of Prabal Gurung’s works at the Atelier Swarovski show at Audi Fashion Festival! The capsule collection for J.Crew seems inspired by origami, and in terms of price point the limited edition designs are more expensive than the usual J.Crew offering.

[23 May 2011] Saw the Globe-Trotter luggages at Lane Crawford (Hong Kong) today! Price range from HKD 9900-13500. [link]

I was window-shopping at Lane Crawford in IFC Mall (Hong Kong) and from afar, I saw the Globe-Trotter luggages on display at the Junya Watanabe men’s section. I stared at the luggages, fondled it a bit and to my dismay, this was enough to warrant the attention of the sales assistants! I tried really hard to snap a picture on my iPhone before the sales assistant stopped me and said coldly, “No photo-taking, please!”

[13 May 2011] I’m thinking of getting a cheongsam dress by local designer Peter Kor. Available at @Tangs and 15A Purvis Street. [link]

I first got to know about Peter Kor and his modern cheongsam through Tangs’ Style Space on 4 showcase. This local designer has many lovely and flattering cheongsam designs, usually priced from S$239-399 depending on cut and material.

[9 May 2011] Found one more picture of that lace wedding dress worn by @Stefsunyanzi. Thanks to TodayOnline. [link]

I love her gown! I think vintage and traditional dresses are really in the rage now following the Royal Wedding!

As usual, do “like” my Facebook page if you haven’t! It’s where I post some sneak previews and random sightings when I’m shopping or traveling. You can communicate with me or ask me questions over there too!

And.. something fun is happening on Monday! I think you will like it and I can’t wait to spill the beans. But.. let’s just wait till Monday. 🙂
