It has indeed been a while since I touched on something bridal. But I couldn’t resist.. there are so many bride ideas from the recent awards season.

Asymmetrical Hemline and High Slits

Charlize Theron and her Dior dress is definitely one of my recommended pin-up inspirations for your wedding!

Show off some of your well-toned legs with a high slit or go contemporary with an asymmetrical hemline.

Go for Gold

Gold dress for the wedding banquet, anyone?

Red is Auspicious

For Chinese brides, your parents and parents in law would be very pleased if you are wearing a red gown. Red is not only an auspicious colour, it can be really stunning, glamorous and sexy on the bride.

I particularly like Dianna Agron’s Giles laser-cut gown, which is reminiscent of the traditional Chinese paper-cutting. Talk about going back to our Chinese roots and culture!

Hairspiration

We can also steal some hair and makeup ideas from the red carpet.

Quiff and top knot: (from left) Amber Heard and Shailene Woodley

I love the magenta lip colour on Shailene Woodley. Brides, a statement lip colour can really inject personality to the usual, romantic white gown!
