Home and decor aficionados rejoice! 2 more lifestyle stores have stepped foot in Singapore and we now have more choices in terms of household decorations and lifestyle items.
And I am of course referring to Francfranc, which hails from Japan and G.O.D. (acronym for Goods of Desire) from Hong Kong!
Franc Franc store at Vivocity.
1. Francfranc
Origin: Japan
Location in Singapore: J-Cube and Vivocity
Francfranc’s aim is to provide fun, quality furniture and sundries at affordable prices, and the VivoCity store is its largest flagship store in the world offering a wide range of items from furniture, kitchen ware, bath and body items etc.
Feels like Ikea, but Japanese contemporary style.
You can dress up your bedroom with a princessy theme!
Nihon fans can get authentic Japanese kitchen from J-Period, a brand of goods exclusively sold at Francfranc that is inspired by Japanese traditional arts and crafts.
Origin: Hong Kong
Location in Singapore: Central Clarke Quay (store will be opened in late June)
Having established in Hong Kong for about 16 years, the upcoming store at Clarke Quay is G.O.D.’s inaugural overseas store. The brand’s name is derived from the Cantonese phrase “住好啲”, which means “to live better”. The store in Singapore is expected to carry the signature products from the brand’s fashion, homeware, gift ideas and furniture collections. I believe the store concept would follow very closely to the brand’s 8 stores in Hong Kong.
Here are some small products that will be available in Singapore. Expect other bigger items such as furniture and homeware too!
Adorable panda seat rest.
G.O.D.’s signature Newspaper collection, where items are printed with traditional Hong Kong newsprint.
A passport holder from the longstanding Yau Ma Tei collection.
Kitschy apron from the Mailbox collection.
I can’t wait for G.O.D. store to open at the end of the month! One thing for sure, with more selection and options, Singapore home style meter has literally increased by a few notches.
What do you think?
