A fashion icon, with her own fashion label, Nicole Richie has designed a capsule collection of 25 bohemian, breezy printed pieces that will be available on Macy’s from 12 September 2012.

A fan of the 50s and 60s fashion, Richie was liberal in incorporating prints and colours into her designs. The peacock prints is a recurring theme in this collection, along with aztec designs. I think I have set my heart on this alluring asymmetric silk dress with peek-a-boo neckline modeled by the designer herself.

Bohemia is a spirit and you have the freedom to add on some texture with pleather and studs too. Richie explained the mixture of feminine and masculine elements, with the boxy top adorned with both leather and intricate lace.

I’m in love with the styling of these two pieces. Replace the bralette for a tank top, and if the pattern on the skirt is more toned down, I might don an outfit like this to the office.

Aztec prints.

Check out this video of Nicole Richie walking us through her collection, explaining that she intended most of her designs to be able to take the wearer from day to night effortlessly. She looks good, spoke with a good amount of confidence and assertion. I am impressed.

Keep your eyes peeled on Macy’s website come September 12. The price range of this collection would be between US$49 and US$149, and the good news is, Macy’s ships to Singapore!
