I attended the Future Fashion Now shows last week, which featured the Spring/Summer 2013 collections of several young, emerging designers from around the globe. Among the showcases of several avant-garde and contemporary collections, my favourite goes to the elegant reinvented cheongsam designs by homegrown Ong Shunmugam.

Dresses with cap sleeves and mandarin collar, almost like a traditional cheongsam. My favourite is the light blue dress at the extreme left with delicate lane panels and pleated details.

Sleeveless navy cheongsam with a printed chiffon silk cape. The perfect cheongsam with a dramatic twist.

Check out the Ong Shunmugam showcase at FFN’s event in Paris. Do you like this collection?

The Spring/Summer 2013 collection is available for ordering at Future Fashion Now website. Of course, if you would like to check out the brand and their dresses, or custom-made a cheongsam dress, you could make an appointment with the designer, who has a boutique at Hong Leong Building.
