I may seem like the leather shoes kinda girl (which is kinda true), but I do succumb to the irresistible appeal of Melissa jelly (officially known as “Melfex plastic”) shoes from time to time. After all, it was almost love at first sight when I first met the three-strap ballet flats at  the AFF Vivienne Westwood Anglomania show 3 years ago.

Fast forward today, looking at the recent Vivienne Westwood collaboration with Melissa…

Still irresistible, no?

Or these loafers, also by Vivienne Westwood Anglomania.

Or if you are not quite feeling the above, perhaps these will get your heart pacing.

The intricate lace patterns printed on Melissa flats, complete with a girlish bow and the caricature of Ms Wu. The work of Mr Jason Wu.

These heels designed by Pedro Lourenco are perhaps edgier and stylish.

I also wouldn’t miss Melissa’s own designs, which are equally adorable.

My point is, with the opening of Melissa’s first flagship store MDREAMS at Wheelock Place Basement 2, you have a really vast variety to choose from. This is in contrast to the yesteryear, where only selected designs were stocked at multi-label stores or boutiques. So, in between Christmas shopping in town, do remember to drop by the store. A word of warning though, you might want to allocate some budget from the Christmas shopping for these cuties.
