While I would argue the Cheongsam can be worn at any time and any occasion, it is undeniable that they are more popular during the Chinese New Year season.

I have rounded up some cheongsam dresses available in Singapore – take your pick!

Tong Tong

Its Cheongsam Season Again!

Tong Tong is probably a well-known name when it comes to contemporary cheongsam dresses. This year, the theme of their collection is “Cultural Mosaic”, with dresses in African batik, traditional Batik and Mandarin Brocade! There is even a men’s collection featuring shirts with mandarin collar and different fabrics.

For the women’s collection: prices start from $139 for a top, to $159 for a bottom. Dresses range from $299 to $599. For men’s collection: prices start from $149 onwards for a shirt, $159 for pants, and a jacket at $239.

Chalk

Its Cheongsam Season Again!

Local label Chalk has also added some dresses with mandarin collars in their recent collection! Each dress is priced at S$229 – you can pop by their store space at Tangs Orchard to check them out.

Blum

Its Cheongsam Season Again!

Some people might think Blum is catered for the more matured women. They have a good selection of contemporary cheongsam dresses in store during the period leading to Chinese New Year. The last I checked, the fabric and workmanship are excellent. Each dress is priced at about S$300.
