All of us want to have clearer, luminous complexion but some of us want that miracle to happen with a snap of our fingers. Well, as with all skincare regimes, patience and discipline are key but if you really need to jumpstart the whitening process, you could try the latest whitening masks in the market!

Typically, the whitening sheet masks contain plenty of whitening serum that would help to give your skin maximum exposure to the whitening ingredients within a short time. Of course, given the concentration of product in one single mask, you are usually advised to apply the mask only once a week.

Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask

This is a sheet mask for the entire face, and I was told that it is designed to fit every face perfectly. It fit my face very well (by the way) and I enjoyed the familiar scent of the White Lucent serum immensely. Although I was advised to remove the mask after 10 minutes, I left it on for about 30 minutes before massaging the remaining essence into my skin.

There was notable radiance on my face after use and I felt very pampered with the generous amount of serum in the mask. This would work hand in hand with the Shiseido White Lucent skincare range to achieve radiance and luminosity on your skin.

Each box contains 6 masks and costs S$100.

Lancôme Blanc Expert “Sun Loving Zone” Bio-Cellulose Mask

This mask targets only the “sun loving zone”, i.e. the cheeks, the under-eye and the nose , which are more prone to pigmentation. The bio-cellulose material is known to have soothing and regenerating properties. It does feel different from the usual sheet masks, and adheres very well on the skin.

Similar to Shiseido’s Power Brightening Mask, there was noticeable radiance on my “sun loving zone” after half hour – I was “over-using” the mask beyond the recommended 10 minutes again. Interestingly, Lancôme indicated that this mask could be used as an intensive treatment for 6 consecutive days. I guess this could be the real accelerated brightening process for fans of the Blanc Expert skincare range.

Given it’s smaller shape, I think this mask is suitable for those who have targeted pigmentation problems and prefer to leave your forehead and chin alone. For overall radiance, I would personally go for the  Bio-Cellulose mask for the entire face instead.

Similar to Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask, each box of Lancôme Blanc Expert “Sun Loving Zone” Bio-Cellulose Mask contains 6 pieces and is priced at S$120.
