I am dreaming of a vacation but I have not started planning anything yet. Have you?

Meanwhile, let’s get started by deciding which luggages we could procure for the upcoming business trip or vacation. Soft case or hard case? 20 inches or 28 inches? I am typically quite neutral between soft and hard case because both have their own merits. However, one thing I always look for – the luggage should have 4 wheels instead of 2.

1. Rimowa Classic Flight Multiwheel

There is something sexy about aluminium feat leather that I can’t quite comprehend myself. The 4 wheel system is a breeze, and true to Rimowa’s key proposition, this luggage is very lightweight despite its metallic casing. It has a classic vintage look but is functional and durable as well, making it perfect for both work and play.

The downside – probably it’s price tag. Depending on the size of the luggage, the price of the Classic Flight series starts from S$1050.

2. Anna Sui for Tumi

Florals are perfect for this season! An original print from Anna Sui 2009 runway collection, these sleek hard Vapor cases are not just a pretty sight, but also durable with its tough, lightweight, triple-layer ABS and polycarbonate shell. The interior of the trolley case is really adorable too – with striped lining and miniature flower appliqué.

This “Extended Trip Packing Case” is available in Tumi boutiques in Singapore, and is priced at US$479 on Tumi.com.

3. Lulu Guinness Hard Sided Lips

Isn’t this the cutest piece of luggage ever? It’s available in black, red and pink. The shocking pink lips luggage has a cute monochrome striped interior and three matching drawstring bags for accessories.

You could get this whimsical trolley case via Lulu Guinness.

4. Valextra Avietta Suitcase With Piretti Wheels

This luggage only comes with two wheels. But it is such a handsome piece not to be missed. Suitable for cabin check-in, this suitcase comes with a trolley handle for maneuverability. I also like the smart green leather straps in the interior.

It is priced at US$7,330 though. Well, a girl can dream right?

5. Globe Trotter Cruise Centenary Special Ed Suitcase.

Another less-practical option, because this Globe Trotter suitcase does not have wheels. But it is a beautiful full-leather piece with vintage fittings. Imagine yourself wearing a mod-like floral dress and carrying this suitcase for a Roman holiday.

Or perhaps I could opt for the 2 wheel trolley case – but the colour options are less appealing. What do you think?
