There are many museums in London, but if you are interested in decorative art and fashion, you have to visit Victoria & Albert Museum! It is one of the best museums, in my opinion, that demonstrates a great sense of aesthetic with a comprehensive range of exhibits.
There was an exhibition “Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s” at the “Fashion” section of the museum. At the first floor, there is a fashion gallery showcasing the evolution of European fashion.
Dresses by Ossie Clark.
Dresses from the Victorian era.
Christian Dior from the 1960s.
Roger Vivier for Christian Dior shoes.
Aside from the “Fashion” section, I ventured to other galleries. Love the way the ceramics exhibits were displayed in all shapes and colours, driving across a very strong message on the long history of this porcelein.
Even the “Metalwork” gallery was pretty awesome…
That I couldn’t resist an “OOTD-ish” photo there.
