Imagine this: you are browsing the racks and spotted this blouse that you really fancy. There is only one tag that says S$1.60/gram. Next, you go to a weighing counter, place the blouse on the machine, input the price per gram and voila, the machine shows you the eventual amount that you need to pay for your desired item.

Feels familiar? Kinda like shopping at the supermarket?

This retail concept – Kilo Fascion Asia – which originated from Milan, has set up a pop-up store here at Suntec City.

The items stocked in the store – which is opened from now till January next year – are past season luxury brand items. Overall price is marked down compared to its original retail price. Some pieces that I have checked on – a Roccobarocco bandage dress at S$500, a Trussardi black dress at S$217, a Balenciaga printed silk tank top at S$287 and a Fiorucci flutter sleeve corset top at S$117. Expect to see other brands such as Carven, Lanvin, Love Moschino, even Karl Lagerfeld and Viktor & Rolf.

The store also has a menswear corner, although selection is a tad limited. Each piece is available in small quantities and sometimes one piece in one size only. I guess that gives very low likelihood of buying the same item as another shopper. Last but not least, new items will be brought in every month. That alone gives a lot of reason to check out this refreshing shopping concept!
