Last weekend, Hong Kong celebrity Charlie Young wed her long-time beau at W Hotel Sentosa. She looked ravishing in her off-shoulder fishtail wedding dress from Romona Keveza, but it also got me researching on celebrities’ wedding dresses.
I have consolidated my picks for the top 5:
1. Grace Kelly
This is the classic of all wedding dresses and is probably one of the most remembered dresses that has inspired many – including Kate Middleton. This dress was designed by Helen Rose of MGM Studio in 1956.
2. Anne Hathaway
From Valentino, the dress was made of ivory silk point d’esprit tulle, with a train embroidered with satin flowers and was hand-painted a soft pink hue. The pint tint is such a unique touch to the ethereal dress.
3. Gigi Leung
There isn’t much details about this dress, but without a doubt, Gigi Leung looked resplendent in this simple off-shoulder lace dress by an unidentified Spanish designer.
4. Lee Hyori
Korean singer Lee Hyori has set a good example for ladies looking for the bohemian look. Don’t you love the carefree vibes from the simple white dress and floral hair crown? Even the choice of mary janes as wedding shoes is such an adorable touch.
5. Nicole Richie
This is probably the fairy tale dress that every girl dreams. From Marchesa, the dress is made from more than 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals. The poofy skirt is detachable, revealing a short fitted dress suitable for dancing. Don’t you just love 2-in-1 gowns?
