Two new stores have arrived at sunny shores and both have unanimously chosen ION Orchard as their first stop in Singapore!

The two names I was referring to were of course – Kate Spade Saturday, the sister brand of Kate Spade which I have previously blogged about here and COS, a higher-end sister brand of H&M.

Located at B1-27/27A at ION Orchard, the first Kate Spade Saturday store in South East Asia is adorned with bright yellow hue and loads of happy prints!

A signature of Kate Spade Saturday is its carefree spirit – after all, Saturday is the best day of a week! Through the use of bright colours and bold prints, Kate Spade Saturday brings together a whimsical collection of apparel, bags, accessories and lifestyle goods.

When I visited the store last week, I was heartened to find out that the store at ION Orchard stocks up items from every category. In addition, while the brand has focused on ecommerce and pop-up stores globally, the shop in Singapore is a permanent store. In terms of pricing, a striped slip neck tee is tagged at S$50, skirts and dresses at S$150-250 and bags at the range of S$200-400 depending on size and quality.

COS, short for “Collection of Style”, focuses on high end and timeless designs, as well as good quality. The store located at #03-23 at Ion Orchard, is also the brand’s South East Asia debut. A second store in Singapore will open in the new Westgate Mall at Jurong East.

I missed out on the opening party due to a business trip (drats!) but based on the photos I have seen, the 5900 square feet store exudes a sleek and minimalistic style, cognizant of the brand’s focus. Prices are relatively affordable considering its quality – apparel cost between S$100-300 while accessories are tagged at S$15 for a pair of earrings and S$59 for a necklace.
