I was told that this new product from Kiehl’s is almost like “Photoshop packed in a tube”. Indeed, the Micro-Blur Skin Perfector helps to smooth over skin, reducing the appearance of pores with a satin finish. However, this is technically not a makeup base as the product contains skincare properties to refine skin texture and reduce fine lines.

The light, fluffy texture of the product reminds me a lot of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. Both serves as a great makeup base, as well as help improve the appearance of the skin.

The Micro-Blur Skin Perfector feels “balmy” – gliding on smoothly on the skin – but does not leave a waxy finish. It contains a blend of Lipo Hydroxy Acid (LHA), which gently exfoliates to give you radiant, smoother skin; lentil extract, which helps to strengthen and tighten pores, and bark extract, which helps give a smoother texture. The formula is good for oily skin and you could see slightly improvement of appearance after 4 weeks.

Priced at S$52 (for 30ml), this is a great production innovation from Kiehl’s. The interesting edge compared to other conventional makeup prime is, it could be used on top of your BB cream, or applied throughout the day on top of your makeup. You could use it as the last step of your skincare regimen, i.e. after applying moisturizer.
