I recently received the latest makeup items from Shiseido and Maquillage for Fall this year. Most of the new items this season are new colours to existing line, with the exception of the Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Compact and Maquillage Essence Glamorous Eyes!

The Maquillage Perfect Multi Base BB N is a limited edition release but didn’t feel significantly different from the regular version (review here). This is a good primer, but do not expect too much coverage from the base product.

Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Compact is a delightful foundation that works like a finishing powder with low to medium coverage. I love the feather-light texture and this powder doesn’t really cake on the skin or look chalky. The slim product packaging makes it ideal to put in our makeup pouch for touch-ups.

Look 1: Using Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio and Shiseido Lacquer Rouge RD529.

Look 2: Using Maquillage Essence Glamorous Eyes BE232 on the lids and Maquillage Essence Glamorous Lips RD396.

For both looks, I used the Maquillage Perfect Multi Base BB N with Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Compact, as well as Maquillage True Cheek in PK201, a new shade for this season.

Long-time readers of my blog are probably familiar with the Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Colour Trio, which I have reviewed quite a number of times. The eye shadow is finely milled, buildable, glides on very nicely on the eyes and are moderately shimmery. This new pastel combination is very versatile and wearable. You could go for a saccharine sweet girl look, or top it of with a statement lip stick for a more glamorous do. The Luminizing Satin Eye Colour Trio is not a traditional palette that has darker shades for contouring or lining, and lighter shades for highlighting. It is essentially a “no-rule” palette and you could use the colours whichever way you desire.

The Maquillage Essence Glamorous Eye is a new product from Shiseido’s sister brand. It is reminiscent of Dior Eye Gloss. This cream or serum eye shadow is like eye shadow gloss which spreads easily on the eye lid, but is quite shimmery. If you prefer to contour your eyes, this product might be too one-dimensional for you, and the colour range available for this product are all light and natural shades. What I fancy though, is its slim packaging and how easy it is to apply.

The Shiseido Lacquer Rouge and Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge are both my all-time favourite lip products. Both are a hybrid of rouge and gloss, but Shiseido’s version are highly pigmented and have a wide range of stronger colours to choose from. The new RD529 is a strong shade with violet tint that grew on me.  You may wish to recap on my more detailed review on this product when it first launched here.

The Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge (refer to previous reviews here and here) has a range of more natural (pink, rose, beige) shades, which adhere nicely to your original lip shade. This BE232 is a beige colour with a light coral/orange tint. Honestly, I have so many different colours from this range and each shade differs only slightly from each other. But, I’m a fan of this product and it’s cute tiny package that I highly encourage everyone to part S$43 to add this into your makeup collection.

This new shade is a good opportunity to remind consumers about this nifty blush (detailed review here). It’s to carry around and applies very well because of its dense brush. The new PK201 is a sweet pinkish shade that adds a light rosy flush on the cheeks, complementing the pastel and light eye colour offering from both brands.
