Pardon me for my hiatus, as I was away on a two-week vacation in South Africa. It was such an amazing trip with so many wonderful memories in the Southern Hemisphere that I think I do need another break to get over this holiday.

I don’t even know how to get my photos together for a short post on my trip as I sift through all the photos from the holiday. This must be the vacation where I took the most number of pictures. Each part of the trip was a highlight and an amazing experience.

Gulls at Camps Bay, Cape Town.

At Table Mountain, overlooking the city of Cape Town.

Obligatory shot at the Cape of Good Hope.

Food in South Africa was great but this was my best meal there – at La Colombe. This is a springbok dish, which is a type of venison and was cooked medium rare.

Sunset at Rust En Vrede Estate was a beautiful sight although winter is not the best season to visit a vineyard – look at its barren state!

Market at Hout Bay.

Went whale watching in Hermanus and only managed to capture this small part of the whale on camera.

By the cliff at Hermanus.

Cape of Good Hope is the South-Western Tip of Africa. At Cape Agulhas, the Southern Tip of Africa, it is the point where Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet.

African penguins at Betty’s Bay.

Up close with ostriches at Oudtshoorn.

Visited the Birds of Eden sanctuary at Knysna.

Chilling at my lodge in Knysna.

Zoomed up to a leopard at the safari in Timbavati.

Momma and son elephants.

At the lodge that I stayed within Timbavati private game reserve.
