I was doing some spring cleaning on my cosmetics and found a Brown lipstick that I hardly wore. From Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge range, this lip colour is a deep shade of brown that is somewhat difficult to carry off.
I decided to take it upon as a make-up challenge for myself. Have you tried wearing brown lipsticks? Maybe you can share your look with me!

I always thought BB Cream is a Made-in-Asia beauty trend. But I guess I have been living in a cave. Acronym for Blemish Balm, or Blemish Base, BB Cream was originally formulated in Germany in 1967, originally used as a product with light coverage for sensitive skin, specifically by dermatologists for the patients post laser surgery. Over the past decade, BB Cream shot to fame in Asia because it was widely recommended by Korean actresses and as a result, such products from Korean skincare brands became very popular in the region.
Gradually, international brands are also launching their versions of BB Cream and today, I will introduce the products from DiorSnow and Lancôme .

I have accumulated a few new pink lipsticks recently and I really want to share with you the Power of Pink. Similar to the red rouge, where deep red shades of different variations are suitable for individual skin tones, different shades of pink have the power of bringing out another persona in you.

I was browsing through the photos for Fall/Winter (FW) Fashion Week and found some really interesting braided hairstyles on the runway. Hair braiding is considered an ancient art and traces its roots from West Africa. As far back as 4000 BC, the Ancient Egyptians were known to practice hair braiding.
Several thousand years later, we see so many variations of hair braids in all walks of life. Here are my favourite hair braids from the recent runway shows!

Tiny milkmaid braids as seen at Pucci FW 2012 - These braids are apparently “fake” and color-matched to the model’s hair before being pinned at the crown. Very neat and retro look, and the prosthetic braids reminded me of my faux-hair headband that I loved wearing when I was in my teens.
