In conjunction with the launch of Vara and Varina Made-To-Order programme in Singapore – yes, you can now dictate the colours and material you desire for your Ferragamo pumps – Salvatore Ferragamo had a travelling shoemaking demonstration at their boutiques here last week.
I had the opportunity to find out more about the shoemaking process and observe the expert craftsman at work. It was a humbling experience and I wanted to go home and hug my Ferragamo shoes because I now understand the efforts put into manufacturing each and every pair of shoes by the design house.

The craftsman hails from Florence and has 50 years of shoe-making experience.

I am not sure whether anyone of you is a fan of widely popular Korean street brand STYLENANDA here but they are now available in Singapore – at the newest i.t. store located at Orchard Gateway.
I attended the store launch a couple of weeks back and the i.t. team invited Hong Kong celebrity Charlene Choi (one half of popular girl band Twins) to grace the event. She was dressed in a sweet tweed and lace ensemble from STYLENANDA.

Let’s just say I was very, very privileged to be able to attend the Oscar de la Renta show this year at Audi Fashion Festival. It was a visual feast that would make every girl squeal in delight. All the models wore neat, feminine braids, and were donned in taffeta gowns with the most exquisite details – complete with matching accessories and shoes.

First, let’s see what goes on backstage!

For the closing show of Audi Fashion Festival this year, I decided to go for a dressier number to fit the night’s theme. After all, Oscar de la Renta is well-known for his va-va-vroom gowns!

Today is Day 1 of AFF and I thought it would be fun to do a little flashback of our outfits since the first AFF feature that appeared on MsGlitzy.com in 2009. My friends and I bought tickets to the closing show that year – Vivienne Westwood Anglomania.

Yes! That was me and two pals in 2009. You could read about the outfit post here.

“Hermès always throw fun parties!”
Indeed, their invite-only party “Men on the Move” held at Old Kallang Airport was one of the most interactive events ever. Guests mingle with models, and they get to experience the brand’s clothes, shoes and accessories through activities as well as art installations. This is probably the most effective way to learn about the brand and their latest men’s collection – over booze, good food and beautiful people!

As 2013 draws to a close, let’s revisit some of the most popular posts published on MsGlitzy.com this year.
1. It’s Cheongsam Season again!

It seems that everyone’s favourite topic is the Cheongsam dress! I have been blogging about this since the inception of MsGlitzy.com and it has been a constant topic of interest for me as well. I will endeavour to sift out more places to shop for such dresses – would be apt for the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities, yeah?
