At the request of a friend, I am compiling some of the popular eateries in Niseko in aid of her trip planning. I have consolidated this food list after gathering feedback from friends who have been to Niseko.

If you intend to visit in end December which is the peak season, you may need to start planning your accommodation now and consider restaurant reservations! Popular restaurants get fully booked in advanced such that you could end up having to walk in and wait outside in the cold or try your luck at less popular restaurants.

I just got back from my second trip to Niseko (Hokkaido) and boy, it was exhilarating to be skiing with a big group of people for one whole week. I get a lot of questions from friends, such as “You are going to Niseko again? Didn’t you go there last year?”, “You mean you just ski the entire week? Sounds torturous to me.”

Being born and bred in the tropics, we are probably very unfamiliar with winter sports given little or no exposure to it growing up. Through this post, hopefully I could help to answer questions you may have with regards to planning a ski/snowboarding trip.

Snowboarding (and skiing) is fun!

Read about self-driving in South Africa, safari experience and restaurants recommendations on The T List.

Pardon me for my hiatus, as I was away on a two-week vacation in South Africa. It was such an amazing trip with so many wonderful memories in the Southern Hemisphere that I think I do need another break to get over this holiday.

I don’t even know how to get my photos together for a short post on my trip as I sift through all the photos from the holiday. This must be the vacation where I took the most number of pictures. Each part of the trip was a highlight and an amazing experience.

I had the opportunity to experience the spa treatments whilst at Six Senses Con Dao. My GEM (short for Guest Experience Maker), Huy, checked on our preferred spa services prior to the visit and made the booking and arrangements for us.

Located at the end of the Six Senses private beach, the spa is located beside a majestic mountain, in the midst of luscious greenery. The treatment rooms and pavilions are furnished with bamboo and wood, creating a relaxed, soothing and zen environment.

The spa comprises of indoor treatment rooms and outdoor treatment salas, dip pools, as well as steam and sauna facilities.

Honestly, you don’t really need to do much at Six Senses Con Dao. Immersed in such strikingly beautiful location with excellent services within the resort, it is easy to let time slip by while enjoying your private infinity pool.

Nonetheless, I will share with you some activities that you could take part in at your stay there.

1. Diving or Snorkelling

For those who have been following me on Instagram and Facebook, you may have discovered the paradise that I am referring to. In the Southeast region of Vietnam lies an archipelago named Con Dao which boasts arguably one of the most beautiful scenery in South East Asia.

I was kindly hosted by Six Senses Con Dao for my weekend getaway and I will be sharing more of my experience with you. Do you know this was where Angelina Jolie and her family stayed at when they visited Vietnam in 2011?

Time stops with a magnificent view like this every morning.
