I had an accidental discovery while browsing Shopbop the other day. I stumbled upon some beautiful and affordable sneakers from Chicago label “BucketFeet”.
Similar to Threadless, BucketFeet welcomes artists to submit their artwork and selects the best works to be printed on sneakers, lace-ups and flip-flops.
I bought this pair of slip-ons designed by Elena Camps.
I think Penang is fast becoming a destination of choice for quick weekend getaways! Indeed, the food options there are very tempting and not to mention the interesting street art, murals as well as interesting cafes at Georgetown.
I was there for a weekend a few months ago and had a field day snapping pictures with the murals, mostly by Ernest Zacharevic.
“Boy on Bike” at Lorong Ah Quee.
Seasons after seasons, collections after collections, I sometimes wonder how designers and marketers get their inspirations. I have handpicked some current offerings in the world of fashion that have been heavily inspired by different aspects of Art.
If you are not sure where to go this weekend, perhaps you could do a little art exhibition hopping at these three mini exhibitions held at retail space.
