This is gonna be a short post. I am off for a weekend beach getaway and I am bringing these stuff along with me!

The Shiseido Perfect UV Protector SPF 50+++ is a new product that is similar to the Multi-Defense Protector launched last year, but this new product can be used on both face and body. Another item that I am really excited about is my new monokini from Primark, which I purchased in London without trying because the queue at the fitting room was crazy. Fortunately, it fits me fine.

Now, I can’t wait to laze at the private pool, with maybe a good read and a glass of pina colada. Have a good weekend, everyone!

(PS: I know I was tagged by Dottie in her blog post. Weekend getaways are very successful in keeping me away from shopping. Peace!)

The amazing thing about Singapore is how often I can actually get out of Singapore. My destination for the end of the month? Bali! What can be better than spending time with friends, seeing some sights and relaxing by the beach and our little private villa only 2 hours away?

As the high season arrives and your beach-bound travel plans start to take shape, remember that it’s never worth it for your outfits to cost more than your plane ticket.

Here are 3 Bali worthy outfits all under $150 USD thanks to budget-conscious stores Forever 21 (with plenty of retail outlets island-wide) and online favorite, ASOS.com. Complete with a Bali book to catch up on for the flight!

Miss Glitzy and Miss Chubby headed to The Shack yesterday hoping to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. The Shack is the temporary replacement beach bar set up at Tanjong Beach after KM8 closed in March. The owner of White Rabbit now owns the old KM8 site and apparently the Singaporean version of Ku De Ta will take Tanjong Beach by storm in January next year.

The photo gallery of the glamourous launch of The Shack turned out to be kinda misleading. Don’t expect it to be as huge as KM8 because the area it occupies is actually kinda small. There were a few platforms that serve as deck chairs, and a small bar counter that serves drinks. The food menu is not up and running yet so The Shack only serve drinks for now. The platforms are new and very clean – thank goodness!

Miss Glitzy brought her Polaroid camera along – it was loaded with expired Polaroid film and the photos were extremely vintage yellowish:

Really miss KM8 and the delicious pizzas. Where is the next best beach that is private and non-poserish?
