Some of you might not be familiar with the US brand, which hauls from NYC. Tarte Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand that offers healthy, eco-chic beauty products formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, and synthetic fragrances. That sound like a “dream come true” for many of us who are increasingly more particular about the ingredients in our beauty products, don’t you think?
The brand is now stocked at Sephora stores here in Singapore. I will be reviewing their best sellers in this post. Don’t you love their natural-looking packaging?
Launched as a limited-edition offering in July this year, the full name of this special palette “Voulez-Vous Choucher Avec Moi, Ce Soir” literally means “Do you want to sleep with me tonight” in French.
By now, we are no stranger to the provocative names coming from NARS. Kudos to François Nars for making e us ladies articulate words like “Orgasm”, “G-Spot” or “Deep Throat” in a matter-of-fact manner without blushing.
I digressed. Apart from its attention-grabbing name, the Voulez-Vous palette is actually a really functional item that contains the essential colours – 4 eye shadows and 2 cheek blushes – that any girl would relish.
This palette was already on sale in Singapore during 4th July at S$68, and was an exclusive palette at Nordstrom and Selfridges.
I was going through my makeup collection, which has evidently ballooned over the last few years due to my alternative blogging “career”. I found possibly one of my oldest makeup items- a grand 8-year old – and I thought it would be fun to share little stories behind some of the cosmetics I own.
So, this post will be about my current blush collection. I believe I had more blush powders in my stash originally but I guess I had either finished a couple of the products and placed some of them in my office pouch or travel bag.
I was introduced to Shu Uemura‘s upcoming Spring/Summer makeup collection a couple of weeks ago and the photo below says it all: Go Crazy on Pastels!
