Having blogged about this topic for years, I have consolidated a shop list for cheongsam dresses here in Singapore to make shopping a lot easier.

Last weekend, I attended Topshop show at Digital Fashion Week, where the British high street label debuted their first ever Christmas collection on the runway. While the rest of the world were watching it on livestream, I got to experience the show live at Singapore’s National Design Centre!
I wore a cheongsam dress from Lark & Peony to this event. I felt that the eclectic prints is aligned with Topshop’s young and vibrant brand personality. I paired the dress with a pair of purple pumps and the gumball cosmetic case from LeSportSac x Dylan’s Candy Bar collection.
It has been a while since I posted an outfit. Where has all the time gone?
I recently learnt of a new online store -Our Bitsy Prints – that sells contemporary cheongsam dresses. I wore this dress for a wedding last weekend and received a few compliments! It’s worth checking the store out I tell ya. I have been on the lookout for new designs ever since my first tailor-made one from Shanghai.

While I would argue the Cheongsam can be worn at any time and any occasion, it is undeniable that they are more popular during the Chinese New Year season.
I have rounded up some cheongsam dresses available in Singapore – take your pick!
I attended the Future Fashion Now shows last week, which featured the Spring/Summer 2013 collections of several young, emerging designers from around the globe. Among the showcases of several avant-garde and contemporary collections, my favourite goes to the elegant reinvented cheongsam designs by homegrown Ong Shunmugam.

Since Chinese New Year is approaching, I have been on the lookout for a new cheongsam dress again. I might be late for the tailor but I reckoned that I might as well look around the web to seek inspirations for a newer and more refreshing design.
Here are some designs that I really like.. tell me what you think!

This was what I wore to the opening gala of the inaugural ScreenSingapore. And featured at the back is my new ride – don’t you love the green bike? (Ok, I confess, I was kidding about the bike, it wasn’t mine).
