There’s no denying that Diane von Furstenberg is one of my favourite designers. I have blogged about her and her dresses since the inception of this blog.
I like that many of her dresses work for women of different shapes and sizes. The wrap dresses are simple and classic in terms of design, but work well for both slim and curvy girls. In fact, I am still wearing my first DVF dress bought some 6 or 7 years ago and I do receive compliments from time to time.
I was invited to the Autumn/Winter 2013 showcase at their Ion Orchard store and I am immensely glad that several pieces in the collection continue to have those classy and wearable elements.Comment?
Yellow is a primary colour, and has been swiftly identified as a key shade for the recent spring and summer seasons. You could integrate this trend in every aspects of your wardrobe, from big item to small details. And there are actually several shades of yellow that you can play with – from the soft pastel hue, fluorescent yellow to deeper mustard shade!3 Comments
Local jeweller Poh Heng showcased 4 new collection of gold jewellery last night at a mysterious “Club ORO22″ – which was none other than the brand’s flagship outlet at Orchard Shopping Centre.
What are your feelings towards Gold?
To be honest, it is interesting to see how local jewellers constantly reinvent themselves and introduce contemporary and statement pieces to attract the younger crowd. Let’s see what Poh Heng had put together:

You know, sometimes, I mean sometimes, looking younger than your actual age might not be good thing. There are days you wish you were bestowed with more wisdom, responsibility or even power and these usually come with age.
You need to look the part before you expect people to treat you like an adult.

Miss Glitzy went to Bossie’s house and was “bullied” by the Red Guard!
The Red Guard is one of the copper sculpture series by the first female sculptress in China, Jiang Shuo. The bronze robot-like Red Guard waving a little red book represents Mao Zedong’s era during the Cultural Revolution. And this generation is the leader of today’s China. Miss Glitzy is not so knowledgeable about art but the sculpture is indeed adorable and quirky!

Miss Glitzy has been a fan of DVF for quite a while now. The obsession has never really stopped and she was on her way to accumulate more and more printed something from that designer. It’s not just about the prints actually – the dresses are so wearable as they compliment womanly curves and you don’t have to be reed thin to look fabulous. The prints just make the dresses special, i.e. it’s not just your regular little ____ (fill in the name of your favourite colour) dress. And in case it is not too evident from the outfit posts so far, Miss Glitzy is quite a printy person.
She happened to see this photo on DVF Facebook page:
A congregation of DVF dresses! What do you think?5 Comments
