I’m not sure if you have noticed, but one signature bag trend this Fall/Winter is the quirky designs inspired by food packaging. After all, who would be able to forget the loud statement Jeremy Scott made for Moschino earlier this year?
Recently, whilst doing my online window shopping, I stumbled upon the Kate Spade Hello Shanghai Takeout Bag, which essentially is a purse that takes the shape of the Chinese take-out boxes.
The first collection under Stuart Vevers, the new creative director of Coach, was finally launched here last week. Remember my previous post on the new IT-bag from Coach, the Rhyder? Now, you can see the photos in real life, as well as the new style direction of the American label under the helm of Mr Vevers, who hails from the UK and was formally from Loewe.
The Rhyder 24 bag in black – this is a really adorable tiny tote for daily essentials, priced at S$700.
I took a double-take when I saw this series of images. IS THIS COACH?
Under the helm of newly appointed British designer, Stuart Veers, you see a consistent edgy contemporary style in his first bag collection for the American brand. I think the above picture (and bag) resembles a bit more of Mulberry as compared to Coach in terms of style and execution.
This fall, NARS introduce some seductive, sexy shades that look both tender and dramatic.
Quoting their press release, “Eyes shine in amethyst and quartz shadows while intense black liners flecked with rich purple, gold, and green pearl provide intriguing depth. Lips smolder in warm reds and cheeks are softened with a wash of glistening pink.”

Woo… Do Min Joon Shi, what are you thinking about?
You may not have noticed the popular Samsonite RED campaign that features Angelababy and Kim Soo Hyun (aka Do Min Joon shi from “My Love from The Star“).
The Fall/Winter campaign photos for this younger, casual label of Samsonite is out and let’s gush at more Do Min Joon goodness from the Behind the Scenes photos!
I always feel like a girl in the candy store when I step into Christian Louboutin store located at Level 2 of Takashimaya.
Sexy heels! Red lacquered soles. Studs and bling. And plush carpeting and sofa for you to lounge around and enjoy a glass of refreshment…
The store at Takashimaya has shifted a few units away and is now bigger and boasts a wider collection of shoes. I had a tour around the store, admiring the latest Fall/Winter collection from the designer. It was quite a visual feast as Christian Louboutin extended on his signature opulent, dramatic style.
Red, yellow and a big letter M. Wait, is it McDonalds or Moschino?
In case you haven’t heard, the above were part of Moschino’s Fall Winter 2014 collection recently showcased in Milan during fashion week. If you don’t take fashion too seriously, I think you will find the designs very light-hearted, fun and rebellious!
