Last weekend, I attended Topshop show at Digital Fashion Week, where the British high street label debuted their first ever Christmas collection on the runway. While the rest of the world were watching it on livestream, I got to experience the show live at Singapore’s National Design Centre!
I wore a cheongsam dress from Lark & Peony to this event. I felt that the eclectic prints is aligned with Topshop’s young and vibrant brand personality. I paired the dress with a pair of purple pumps and the gumball cosmetic case from LeSportSac x Dylan’s Candy Bar collection.
Just how often would you get to witness the best of Singapore’s makeup industry putting together something fun and “oh la la”?
X-Wen and I at the Singapore version of Lancôme x Alber Elbaz Hypnôse Show, held at Sephora Ion Orchard yesterday.
I know little about Zardozë except that it is set up in Singapore, and this is their first ever fashion showcase. The event was certainly a star-studded one. Celebrities spotted include Paul Foster, Linda Black and Olli Pettigrew, Choy Wan, Dick Lee and last but not least, Ruien and Fann Wong.
I attended two Future Fashion Now shows at Audi Fashion Festival this year and I was truly awed by the showcases of emerging designers from all over the world.
Firstly, a brief introduction to FFN: This is a website which allows consumers to pre-order the latest collections from this designers, before the pieces reach the stores. A total of 13 designers – such as Timo Weiland, alldressedup, Suecomma Bonnie are on the platform currently.
Here are some snapshots and a video that I captured at the 2 FFN shows. Of course, the best way to view these collections is to hop over to FFN site.
A stunning one-shoulder dress from Juma.
Last week, I was invited to Moschino‘s Spring/Summer fashion showcase held at Paragon main atrium. The showcase featured several key pieces from Moschino and Moschino Cheap & Chic. I have uploaded most of the runway looks on my Facebook and for this post, I would like to put the focus on Moschino Cheap & Chic, which is a diffusion line of the brand.
I have been quite a fan of Rosella Jardini’s happy fashion collection and have gushed about her SS2011 collection. This year, the setting of the Cheap & Chic range has shifted to a farmer’s market, and as you would have expected, several pieces are inspired by fruits and vegetables!
This is inspired by a strawberry, although the black bead embellishments as seen in Milan Fashion Week last year are evidently missing.
Last weekend, I attended Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2011 Party at Reflections @ Keppel Bay. A showflat was transformed to a party venue complete with a runway for the models to sashay in Gucci’s latest collection.

I have a confession to make. Before last Friday, I have never heard of the “Pagodon”. Incepted in Spring 1998 at Paris, the Kenzo “Pagodon” is actually a cute little bucket bag inspired by elements from South-East Asia and Japan, when Kenzo’s creator Takada was born.
