For those who are not familiar with the Future Solution LX series from Shiseido, this is the prestige line from the Japanese beauty brand synonymous with luxury high-performance skincare products with anti-aging benefits.
This year, this skincare range has launched two make-up products – a liquid foundation and loose powder. But true to its philosophy to marry leading technology and research, these two new items are “make-up with benefits”, infused with t>he signature and exclusive Skingenecell 1P to counteract the appearance of future aging, as well as 4MSK, an innovative brightening ingredient for a luminous, even skin tone.

I received a bunch of BB (stands for blemish balm) and CC (short for colour correct) creams from Sephora a while back. And today, I’m pleased to share with you the results of my road test with these different products – coincidentally all came with SPF, which is perfect for summer!

Some of you might not be familiar with the US brand, which hauls from NYC. Tarte Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand that offers healthy, eco-chic beauty products formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, and synthetic fragrances. That sound like a “dream come true” for many of us who are increasingly more particular about the ingredients in our beauty products, don’t you think?
The brand is now stocked at Sephora stores here in Singapore. I will be reviewing their best sellers in this post. Don’t you love their natural-looking packaging?
If you often wonder why your foundation melts or streaks by mid day and have been trying to find a solution to this problem; or if you like to exercise with some makeup on without looking like an “oil rig” post workout, I think you will be interested with what I am going to share with you today.
Shiseido has recently relaunched their popular range of Suncare Foundation, now with new formulation that includes better finish, sun protection and water resistance.
In this increasingly complicated world, even applying a foundation is not so straightforward anymore. For a flawless finish, you could start from a makeup base or primer- oh and that’s after you have prepped your skin with your three or five steps skincare procedures – followed by BB or CC cream and/or liquid foundation and/or foundation compact and/or face powder.
Geesh! Before we think about the number of products we slap on our face, how many different types of foundation products do we have to deliberate and consider before we make the purchase?
So today, to make things complicated, I am going to discuss the Shiseido Perfect Hydrating BB Cream and the Maquillage True Liquid Moisture UV Foundation. I coined the latter as “FF” cream – which stands for “Flawless Foundation”. And yes, it’s just gonna get more mind-boggling after you finish reading this post. You have been warned!

In the hot and humid climate like Singapore, many of us yearn for longer wearing foundation without the risk of excessive clogged pores – as if the sebum that our skin produces is not enough to stuff the pores already.
This summer, Dior launched a sebum-control, long-wearing foundation compact known as Diorskin Forever Extreme Control Compact Powder. Oil control and extreme wear – sounds familiar? Indeed, Maquillage launched a similar product about the same time and I have reviewed their product previously.
If you have sensitive skin or prefer to use mineral foundation, the latest product from bareMinerals – the Ready Foundation – would be of your interest because it is a pressed version of the brand’s signature mineral foundation product.
