Hong Kong-based boutique JOYCE tied up with Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten, Marni, Etro, Bless and Anna Sui to launch some specially designed limited iPhone cases.
The cases are sold in a set of 6, specially for JOYCE’s prestigious customers. Price of each set is unknown.
I have always admired Rick Owens for his clever work on leather apparels. But not this time though. A reptile-like iPhone case is like a horrifying reminder that I am carrying the remains of a chupacabra (click at your own risk), which is kinda dreadful.
No comment on the above two cases.. but I can’t help but associate the Dries van Noten one to a 3M sponge.
The Etro case is undoubtedly my favourite of the lot. It is in a good shade of purple, with pretty ethnic details. Eye-catching in a rather subtle manner. The Bless stone cover, on the other hand, felt like a joke. I think it would be quite a funny sight if you catch someone talking to a stone on the street.
