The second show that I attended at AFF this year was the Atelier Swarovski show, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The first segment was forgettable, but as the lights dimmed and cut-outs of white birds descended from the top, the show transformed to somewhat a mix of dream and glamor with the presentation of the luxurious “Wings of Fantasy” collection.

Here’s a video of the “Wings of Fantasy” runway show.

Forevermark – a diamond brand from the De Beers family – has finally landed in Singapore through a partnership with our very own Lee Hwa Jewellery. To mark this partnership, Lee Hwa launched a unique collection unveiling 30 unique designs with Forevermark diamonds.

Models were dressed in stunning pieces by Ashley Isham at the jewellery showcase.

Local jeweller Poh Heng showcased 4 new collection of gold jewellery last night at a mysterious “Club ORO22″ – which was none other than the brand’s flagship outlet at Orchard Shopping Centre.

What are your feelings towards Gold?

To be honest, it is interesting to see how local jewellers constantly reinvent themselves and introduce contemporary and statement pieces to attract the younger crowd. Let’s see what Poh Heng had put together:

Models were spotted at the Forever Jewels Christmas Treasures Media Reception, with pieces from their latest collections.

<< I love this Jayson Brunsdon shirt dress!

Pictures of the fashion show can be found on my Facebook. This launch saw Forever Jewels introduce three new brands under its stable: Cupid, March and Assassino. All three brands have different characteristics: Cupid is trendy, March is more feminine and romantic and Assassino is mysterious and provocative.

Unlike the strong theme that the Forever Jewels showcase in July displayed, the pieces in this latest showcase seem more easily accepted and the designs are more classic, while some items retain a slightly edgy feel.

I know some of you are shopping for engagement rings or wedding bands. If you want something slightly out of the box, maybe you could consider Forever Jewels.

Some of the pieces that would probably serve well as an engagement rings:

(Top, from left) March

1. Enchantment: I think the way the princess-cut diamonds are assembled reminded me of snowflakes!

2. Budding Love: The diamonds are pear-shaped, the little flower pattern adds some girlish element to remind you of your younger and romantic days.

(Bottom, from left) Cupid

3. Flirt: I couldn’t find a digital image from the CD, so I took a picture from the catalog. I already know a few girls who would love to have a bow ring, not to mention a diamond-encrusted bow ring! I only wish that the bow could be a bit smaller and modest so that it didn’t look so over-the-top.

4. 7.7: I think this suits those girls who are not afraid to show their personality through bold accessories.

And here’s my personal favourite from the showcase:

This cutie is from March‘s WHIMSY Collection. It’s a white rose ring with an aquamarine and 2 rubies (eyes of the bird!) and 22 round diamonds (0.16ct). Price:S$2070.

Miss Glitzy and Miss Chubby checked out the tent at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza over the weekend and it was dazzling bling bling galore!

The theme of the showcase was “Around the World”, featuring jewellery in different themes – “Out of Africa”, “Mystery of the Orient”, “City Lights” and “Ultramarine”. Miss Chubby was admiring the diamond earrings while Miss Glitzy was intrigued by the amount of details on the floral accessories. Forever Jewels also arranged a fashion show to showcase their various collections. Miss Glitzy positioned herself at a superb corner of the mini runway and was literally bursting with joy when the models smiled directly to the camera.

Great show, great experience! For more pictures, refer to Flickr. Couldn’t help but take an outfit photo at the entrance:

Miss Glitzy was wearing her Forever 21 origami jumpsuit for the very first time and that outfit suffered from some serious malfunction later in the day. More details next time!
