Happy Year of the Monkey! How was all the feasting and house visits?
I was very excited to be wearing this two-piece cheongsam set from Lark & Peony this year. It is one of my favourites amongst all the other dresses that I have worn.

Happy Lunar New Year! Feels hard coming back to reality after the whole weekend of feasting, isn’t it?
Here’s sharing my two cheongsam outfits during the Chinese New Year festivities. I have been trying to experiment other designs rather than the tried and tested sleeveless and flare contemporary dresses that are now getting very mainstream.

Dress: Lark and Peony “The Princess” in Crimson, with Shippo Accent | Clutch: Dylan’s Candy Bar x LeSportSac Gumball Clutch| Shoes: Lucy Choi London | Lips: Dior Fluid Stick in Artifice

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr Christian Louboutin (yes – the God of sexy shoes) and for this special occasion, I decided to channel some chinoiserie chic with this Lark and Peony cheongsam dress in “Midnight Bamboo” print.

I decided to accentuate the print with a dash of red.

In case you haven’t heard, I am in the midst of designing a cheongsam dress with Junie from Lark & Peony. This was the dream that I have submitted to the Samsung Dream Exchange campaign.

I have been carrying my new tablet – the Samsung GALAXY Tab PRO (8.4″ Display) – everywhere I go to capture my inspirations, take down notes, and communicate with Junie on our collaboration. Read More >>

At any point in time, all of us would have some aspirations in mind. Growing up, my dreams included – being a runway model, living in New York like Carrie Bradshaw, writing a heartwarming novel, producing an indie short film that has bossa nova tunes playing in the background… The list goes on and I have never attempted to fulfil any of them.
Today, as I live my life in sort of clockwork – with a regular 9-to-6 job and another regular after-6 life – I have almost forgotten about the dreams I had in those days.
Last week, Samsung launched a Dream Exchange programme that aims to inspire consumers to think about how technology can help improve their lives and enable them to do more. I was invited to take part in this and it got me thinking and rediscovering some of my ambitions that were shoved aside.

Everyone is invited to submit a dream and mention how a Samsung product could help them. Samsung will select 50 of these dreams to take a step to fulfilling them by gifting these selected winners with the Samsung product of their choice. Guess what my dream submission is?
