Sephora Singapore had a Happy NUDE Year campaign earlier this year and I received a crate of products that could help to achieve the Nude look!
Isn’t the natural no-makeup look the best of house visiting during Chinese New Year? To look approachable, effortless and radiant – but actually you know that we could rely on some makeup to achieve that effect.
One of the new brands that Sephora has brought into Singapore this year is NUDESTIX. The stores are selling 3 holiday sets right now, and the full collection will be officially launched in January next year.
And I call them the makeup crayons and it’s a bit hard to go gaga over them at first sight.
Tell me if your heart flutters at the sight of this…
In all honesty, having had the privilege to experience Maquillage products for several years, my impression with this Japanese makeup brand is : Not bad, well catered for Asian faces. I love their glossy rouges and always carry an eye shadow palette from the brand when I am travelling as their colours are neutral but flattering. Nonetheless, my liking towards Maquillage had never been strong or intense.
This feeling has changed though, for I am truly in love with their latest products.
The True Eye Shadow Palette is not new, so are the Essence Glamorous Rouge in OR292 and BE790.
Imagine life with 30 shades of eye colours to choose from. Assuming that each eye look takes about 3 shades, that would give you more than 4,000 looks – about 4,060 to be exact.
So, try to imagine the fluttering heartbeat of the makeup aficionados when they see all the irresistible colours of the new Colour Crush Eye Shadows from The Body Shop.
It seems that this year, there are more new BB Cream products available in the market. That is probably unsurprising, considering recent facts and figures reveal that BB Creams constitute 26% of Asian makeup business.
Similar to the review I did last year, I have rounded up and tested 5 new products from Kiehl’s, Dior Snow, VMV Hypoallergenics, Philosophy and Lancôme.

I thought I was quite done with BB Cream reviews.
And then the Ettusais BB Mineral White came along. I tried it and now it has made its way into my daily makeup routine.
Yes it is that good, in my humble opinion.
Loaded with sun protection of SPF 45 PA ++, this BB Cream is priced at S$40 for 40ml.
This fall, Lancôme “Midnight Roses” makeup range invites you to be swept away by the mystical aura of Paris at midnight. Inspired by the atmosphere of Parisian nights, the brand introduces a sophisticated and feminine look, designed around the purple hue. Meandering between mystery and magic, this collection showcases nocturnal seduction through each of its “purple-tinted” dimensions.
I have tried to put together my interpretation of “Midnight Roses” with the products from this newly launched collection.
Ok, perhaps not quite “nocturnal seduction”…
