The first post on this coveted collection, which featured some lookbook pictures from an Instagram account, showed a glimpse of the colourful pieces. Finally, the official embargo has been lifted and the official lookbook images have been released.

It has been a while since I got this excited about yet another designer’s collaboration. But how not to feel hyper when you see a photo like this… and you know that you could afford them?
Designers for Peter Pilotto with models donned in pieces from the special collection designed for Target.
I have shopped at Taobao intermittently over the past few years. It is good to see how this online marketplace has constantly evolved from catering to domestic buyers to international buyers.
First, you can now shop at Taobao with your international VISA or Mastercard. Next, you no longer to use the service of a Taobao agent or freight forwarder because Taobao has selected a few international freight forwarding agents, which is integrated in the shopping process and require minimal effort on your end!
Sale or no sale, it seems that the festive mood and chilly weather during the year-end make it the best time for online shopping. This year, through Mastercard, I was introduced to Inverted Edge – an online fashion store with a focus on independent designers. I was also re-connected with SkinStore.com.
Use your Mastercard for payment and enter the promo code MCSHOP at checkout to receive the following discount (till 31 Dec 2013):
- Inverted Edge: 15% off all items
- Skin Store: Save $30 USD on skincare and beauty purchases of $130 USD or more
Another collaboration, another failed attempt at controlling my shopping habit.
And indeed, it has almost become a habit for me to “buy something” from a fashion collaboration. We are now in the month of March and have witnessed an avalanche of collaborations – Prabal Gurung for Target, Oscar de la Renta for The Outnet and JW Anderson for Topshop. US retailer J.C. Penney has joined in the race and partnered with Nigerian-born designer Duro Olowu. The limited edition Duro Olowu x JCP collection was launched on 1st March.

If you have been a fan of Kate Spade’s cheery and quirky line, I am sure you will love the concept of a sister brand that is equally chirpy and feminine but priced at a lower range.
That’s the positioning of new brand “Saturday” – playful, fun and affordable.
Saturday is the #thebestdayever.
In case you are not aware, Prabal Gurung is the latest to collaborate with Target and this collection is set to launch on Feb 10. Expect loads of colours, digital prints, with some outfits that are dubbed as “feminine and non-threatening” (in Gurung’s own words). The best part is the prices – almost every item is priced below US$50.
