The amazing thing about Singapore is how often I can actually get out of Singapore. My destination for the end of the month? Bali! What can be better than spending time with friends, seeing some sights and relaxing by the beach and our little private villa only 2 hours away?

As the high season arrives and your beach-bound travel plans start to take shape, remember that it’s never worth it for your outfits to cost more than your plane ticket.

Here are 3 Bali worthy outfits all under $150 USD thanks to budget-conscious stores Forever 21 (with plenty of retail outlets island-wide) and online favorite, ASOS.com. Complete with a Bali book to catch up on for the flight!

Every girl has a couple visions in life.

One is the perfect store with all their favorite designers. Mine is Shopbop.com. No other place in the world (literally) can I find every contemporary designer I know and love. And they ship internationally, yay!

Second is the dress they will walk down the aisle in. Mine happens to be sleek, simple, etherial and different… just anything other than the typical-princess-dress. Think… Carolyn Bessette weds JFK Jr. Hey, a girl can dream.

Joining the likes of BHLDN, Shopbop has just launched their bridal site and they have officially made both my visions come true!

Last week, New York Fashion Week proved that fashion doesn’t have to always be one era in time. This fall season, channel your inner vintage self by taking inspirations from yesteryear. Whether you’re feeling the 70′s, 20′s or even the 90′s, you can make it work no matter what the day or decade.

Okay, so we’ve been posting about wedding dresses a lot lately, but I couldn’t help it beccause Urban Outfitters Inc/Anthropologie decided to launch their new bridal collection BHLDN, just last week! I also couldn’t help but notice brides these days are a lot more than just a dress: you need a fabulous hair piece, belt and shoes to go along the aisle with you.

Looking for an outfit that is different yet understated, has a touch of vintage, is etherial and just not the typical strapless-a-line? Enter BHLDN. Before we have posted on White by Vera Wang and options for buying your own gown, and if you are currently in the market, this is a stop on the web you must make to complete your look. The best part? The prices. My favorite accessories are:

Languid Bow Headband: $22o USD. Peony Hairpin: $80 USD.

This year will be my first Chinese New Year spent in Singapore! I’ve already seen tons of red and gold decorations on the streets and inside homes, but why not try a different theme party this year? Make your CNY 2011 memorable by matching your outfit to your home. Not only is it the perfect time for some re-decoration, your guests over the holidays are sure to notice it too.

I’ve been inspired by local Singaporean fashion designers to create some themes for your new year’s festivities. Check them out below and have a great new year!

There is a storm brewing in New York City: coats, scarfs, snowboots and over-turning umbrellas lining Spring Street from the gusty winds! In Singapore, we are having our own blizzard of thunderstorm days, and I’ve been told this is the “coldest” it gets here.

Luckily, we can keep the layered look year round by taking a hint from winter’s styling tips:

1. The Hat
While the hat doesn’t need to keep you warm in Southeast Asia, it certainly can keep you out of the sun and styled. Think Panama hats, floppys or headscarfs.

Happy New Year everyone!  How was your first week of 2011?  The new year is always a reflection of the past, resolutions for the new and dreams of the spring season can only lead to the inevitable: spring cleaning. Sure, I may be jumping ahead of myself with Spring. But if your resolution is to curb that shopping habit of yours, keep in mind the trends from 2010 that will last you all through the warmer parts of 2011.

1. Neutrals
Keep all your camel-colored options from 2010 and gear them up for this year by mixing them with 2011′s new black: white.
