Bright colours and vibrant prints are set to reign again, bringing home the message that “Summer is approaching!” Two upcoming designers’ collaborations launching in April are flaunting fun prints and chic resortwear.
Lilly Pulitzer for Target will released on 19 April 2015, whereas Milly for Kohl’s will be on sale from 23rd April 2015.
Lilly Pulitzer for Target features a whole lot of chic resort wear for women and kids, as well as accessories and household items.
With the sweltering heat comes a reminder that Summer is finally approaching. Has anyone booked your beach vacay?
Here are some recommendations for your new swim outfit that allows you to flaunt your sexy bod.
H&M 2-piece swim suit (Top: S$24.90, Bottom: S$17.90)
Forget about tan lines. The netted detail at the front of the bandeau bikini, together with the rustic tie dye print, exude tribal appeal in this very hot summer.
I spoke too soon. A few days ago, it was raining cats and dogs in Manhattan. Yesterday, it was bright and sunny. The weather over here is like a woman with mood swings. It oscillates from one extreme to another.
Blouse: Banana Republic | Pants: Zara | Shades: D&G | Bag: Banana Republic | Flats: Salvatore Ferragamo
I was so happy with the weather that I debuted my new shoes. Thanks to everyone who helped me made my purchase decision!
The weather here has been so hot that I believe it crushes whatever sartorial inspirations one might have. Warm and bored, I started browsing those celebrities’ pictures to spy what they are wearing this summer. An initial collage was posted on my Facebook Fan Page (join us if you haven’t!) and it seems like yellow is a popular favourite colour!
Leighton Meester‘s summery yellow combination is interesting and very well-liked. This outfit is nicely completed with a pair of orange Brian Atwood pumps.

Miss Glitzy and Miss Chubby headed to The Shack yesterday hoping to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. The Shack is the temporary replacement beach bar set up at Tanjong Beach after KM8 closed in March. The owner of White Rabbit now owns the old KM8 site and apparently the Singaporean version of Ku De Ta will take Tanjong Beach by storm in January next year.
The photo gallery of the glamourous launch of The Shack turned out to be kinda misleading. Don’t expect it to be as huge as KM8 because the area it occupies is actually kinda small. There were a few platforms that serve as deck chairs, and a small bar counter that serves drinks. The food menu is not up and running yet so The Shack only serve drinks for now. The platforms are new and very clean – thank goodness!
Miss Glitzy brought her Polaroid camera along – it was loaded with expired Polaroid film and the photos were extremely vintage yellowish:
Really miss KM8 and the delicious pizzas. Where is the next best beach that is private and non-poserish?

Previously, Miss Glitzy mentioned that she’s a fan of prints. However, Miss Glitzy forgot to mention that she also has this golden rule of not mixing different prints together. So, no nautical stripe tee with floral bottom. Or no printed dress with printed bag. No checked jacket with polka dotty shoes. Somehow, she is under the impression that different prints and patterns do not have positive reaction towards each other.
Until she saw this fashion spread on TeenVogue.com…
Miss Glitzy believes that the stylist of this spread has the magic touch. Somehow every piece looks happily in sync with each other.
