Happy Year of the Monkey! How was all the feasting and house visits?

I was very excited to be wearing this two-piece cheongsam set from Lark & Peony this year. It is one of my favourites amongst all the other dresses that I have worn.

Is anyone waiting for my latest Cheongsam post?

I have been about this topic since 2010 and thereafter, so many new cheongsam stores and new designs have sprouted!

Whilst you are too spoilt for choice, do take a look at some of my picks for 2016 Chinese New Year season.

Happy Lunar New Year! Feels hard coming back to reality after the whole weekend of feasting, isn’t it?

Here’s sharing my two cheongsam outfits during the Chinese New Year festivities. I have been trying to experiment other designs rather than the tried and tested sleeveless and flare contemporary dresses that are now getting very mainstream.

I went for a full red almost-traditional cut cheongsam dress, thinking that there’s only one period in the year where we could dress up like a humungous red packet (angbao). My motto for the day: GO RED OR GO HOME!

We know that Taobao is the shopping hub for anything possible and in terms of cheongsams, the Chinese website is literally the heaven for both traditional and contemporary dresses!

In this post, I shall share with you some of my picks from Taobao stores, which now accept DBS credit cards for payment and delivers to Singapore. For 101 shopping tips at Taobao, please click here.

Please note that I have not bought from any of these stores and cannot vouch for credibility or quality of the dresses. You may wish to refer to the item rating or shop rating on Taobao for more information.

I have only one #OOTD to share for my recent winter holiday because truth to be told, I was in my ski gear almost everyday and there is almost zilch fashion brownie points from that everyday outfit. In case you think I’m committing a crime, hang on because this is exactly what a really famous style blogger said >> click (#namedropalert).

Anyway, I spent a day in Otaru to enjoy the fresh seafood and delectable pastries!

I have shopped at Taobao intermittently over the past few years. It is good to see how this online marketplace has constantly evolved from catering to domestic buyers to international buyers.

First, you can now shop at Taobao with your international VISA or Mastercard.  Next, you no longer to use the service of a Taobao agent or freight forwarder because Taobao has selected a few international freight forwarding agents, which is integrated in the shopping process and require minimal effort on your end!

I was sorting out my photos and some outfits-que photos that could be posted on this blog. But they were taken a while back in Hong Kong or New York. I don’t really wanna sound like a broken record reminiscing my experience in those countries. As if you haven’t heard enough of it already.

So, this post shall be about some of my purchases in 2011. Kinda like a year in review. Except that it comes with photos of me wearing them when I was traveling. Same same but different. :)
