A couple of months back, I blogged about Spanx Jeans and even did a brief comparison with Uniqlo’s Ultra Stretch jeans.
Little did I realise that shortly after the post, Uniqlo launched a similar version of jeans with a “Smart Shape band” that helps to tuck in the tummy. Their version is known as the “Smart Shape Jeans“.
You may not have heard for Carine Roitfeld but that doesn’t really matter. If you are a fan of classic quality apparel, or a sophisticated silhouette with a tinge of edginess, I would suggest you go browse this upcoming collaboration launched by Uniqlo come 30 October (i.e. this Friday)!
The collection featuring this French fashion editor comprises of 50 pieces that aims to accentuate feminine individuality, whilst incorporating high quality material and sophisticated cut.
Saw this and couldn’t help trying to find out more when I saw this on my email…
After all, who wouldn’t want a pair of jeans that could conceal the muffin top??
Spanx, best known for its shapewear – go check it out if you haven’t – have also a range of jeans that help to achieve slimmer silhouette. Launched since second half 2014, the jeans range now boasts several different fit and wash.
In conjunction with the Republic’s jubilee, many brands have launched commemorative items to celebrate SG50. After all, this is a great occasion to launch something special, limited edition and celebratory!
I like that some of the brands also donate part of the proceeds from the sale of these items to some nation-building initiatives.
I have only one #OOTD to share for my recent winter holiday because truth to be told, I was in my ski gear almost everyday and there is almost zilch fashion brownie points from that everyday outfit. In case you think I’m committing a crime, hang on because this is exactly what a really famous style blogger said >> click (#namedropalert).
Anyway, I spent a day in Otaru to enjoy the fresh seafood and delectable pastries!

If you were to ask me which is my denim du jour, I would not hesitate to introduce you to Uniqlo.
Indeed, there are many cult jeans labels out there. But in my opinion, many of them could not hug the Asian curves as well as Uniqlo Jeans (UJ). I often run into problems with European/US cut which hangs too loosely at the waist, but fit just right at the hips. With UJ, this issue is non-existent.
This Fall/Winter, the Japanese retailer had a refresher on their denim offerings, including some new styles for the season. And I thought it’s apt for me to introduce to all of you my “go-to” denim brand again.
If you haven’t received the fashion memo, the colour of this summer is WHITE. And White on White is officially the secret dress code to identify yourself as the trendsetter – I guess that shows our Singapore PAP members are really cool people!
Here are some lovely “white stuff” that I would like to introduce to all of you – if you intend to practise the white-out fashion theme.
