I think pretty yoga/workout clothes had fast became more of a “need” rather than a “want” in my list of priorities. After all, these are clothes that I have to wear on a weekly basis and it is important to look good while working out!
(That means I may not be able to do a headstand at yoga, but at least I am dressed like a pro… )
Of course, when we talk about yoga or workout clothes, Lululemon comes to mind. The brand has set up two stores here in Singapore – Ion Orchard and Ngee Ann City where we can try out the beautiful tanks and leggings before making the purchase.
Are there other yoga clothing stores here in Singapore?
The short answer is yes – plenty and it all depends on your budget. Even the yoga studios here have a retail corner selling yoga clothes. I have came up with a list of 5 stores that boast beautiful and affordable yoga gear for your reference.
1) Forever 21
I have blogged about Forever21 sportswear extensively in a separate post. The stores here have sportswear corners that stock up some sports bras, tanks and tights. Prices are very affordable – ranging from about S$23 for a sports bra to S$49 for a pair of tights!
The quality, as I mentioned is decent and I love those sexy caged back sports bra! You need to be quick in spotting the designs and sizes though because the items, especially the smaller and more popular sizes get sold out very fast.

Honestly, you don’t really need to do much at Six Senses Con Dao. Immersed in such strikingly beautiful location with excellent services within the resort, it is easy to let time slip by while enjoying your private infinity pool.
Nonetheless, I will share with you some activities that you could take part in at your stay there.
1. Diving or Snorkelling
Wouldn’t you want to jump into the turquoise water like this?
I recently got back from Sri Lanka after a 5-day yoga retreat. This is my second yoga retreat, after a short one at Ko Lipe last year. With 2 such experiences under my belt, I hope to demystify the concept of yoga retreats and hopefully, encourage you to take it up!
Beach yoga is a must-try if you are having your retreat at a seaside destination.
Recently, W Hotels announced its first ever fitness program, FIT with Tara Stiles, which was launched in partnership with the famous “yoga rebel” whose Youtube videos are such a joy to watch.
I had the opportunity to experience a day at W Singapore Sentosa Cove - worked out at a FIT session with a personal trainer, had lunch prepared based on Tara Stiles’ recipes and then spent some time in the suite practicing simple poses with Tara Stiles’ videos that are screened at all W Hotel rooms worldwide.

The motivation to work out has got to be flaunting your pretty fitness gear. I always joke about how I try to look good in my fashionable yoga gear but while on the mat, I just can’t work many of the asanas.
Anyway, I digressed. US retailer Anthropologie recently launched a new activewear section and gosh, everything on the site looks so cute!
Colourful printed leggings!
I started to attend some yoga classes recently. The fun part of working out is of course, shopping for yoga outfits. In this post, I have collated photos of Hollywood celebrities in their yoga/post-yoga gear.
Vanessa Hudgens after her yoga class. As the weather is cold, she draped on a hoodie and boots but it is undeniable that her yoga pants looks very cool!
Are you the girl who exercises often but simply can’t find fabulous workout clothes?
(Well, Miss Glitzy isn’t really a sporty person.. so this has been a non-issue..)
Local brand Om Republic designs and produces women’s active wear that looks chic and is eco-friendly! More targeted to yoga, pilates and dance enthusiasts, the tops come with shelf bra and removable bra pads, which I believe is perfect for exercise.
